The General Council for the Economy, Industry, Energy and Technology (CGEIET) published a report in November on digital energy consumption in France. The study identifies the fleet, lists consumption and deduces its overall amount.

The results are rather reassuring. Compared to 2008 , digital consumption at the national level seems to have stabilized.

The current transformations (growth in video usage, “digitization of the economy”, “platformization”, etc.) do not seem to have any consequences on energy expenditure.
