The color wheel, proposed by Isaac Newton in 1666, helps to select harmonious shades. Newton presented his color theory using a triangular prism to break down white into its components. He depicted the transitions between tones in the form of a circle, which included eight colors. However, at the beginning of the 20th century, the artist Johannes Itten expanded it to 12 shades. Subsequently, each color was divided into four shades depending on its intensity.
Color combinations are formed according to different schemes:
The first scheme is a contrasting combination, where the colors are on opposite sides of the color wheel, which creates a bright and energetic visual effect.
The second scheme is a triad, which allows you to combine three colors that are equally spaced. This ensures high contrast and harmony.
The third scheme is a jordan email list similar combination, using 2-5 colors located next to each other on the color wheel to create a sense of calm.
The fourth scheme is a split-complementary combination. This is an analogue of a contrasting one, but with the use of colors located next to the opposite tone.
The fifth scheme is a tetrad, where one color is the main one, and the other two complement it, creating accents.
The sixth scheme is a square, where four colors are evenly distributed around the color wheel, creating a playful and dynamic look.
