Google Search Console – Core web vitals report

Post by Rina7RS »

I’m basically ignoring the desktop score. Google’s mobile-first index means the mobile score is what really matters.

You should focus on "bad URLs".

Core web vitals – Report – Poor URLs
Google will penalize bad URLs instead of promoting good ones. So you have to prioritize getting your URLs out of trouble. Again, how you solve this problem depends a lot on the core metrics of the page you are solving. For example, some of my pages have poor CLS scores.

Therefore, we are working on improving stability russia mobile database when loading pages.

How we improved Core Web Index
When Google announced the upcoming Page Experience Update, we measured Backlinko and found that it loaded slowly.

Backlinko – Old page speed score
This is because although we use a lightweight WordPress theme and compress resources such as images, Backlinko's pages are large and some of our posts have a lot of high-resolution screenshots, plus visual effects, embedded videos and animated images, so the score is not high. But this does not seem to affect our rankings at all.

This makes sense considering our search engine ranking factors analysis found no correlation between page speed and rankings .

Page loading speed does not correlate with first page Google rankings
But this update is different. Google is not only focusing on page load speed, but will try to directly measure user experience ranking with its metrics. In other words: they are not kidding this time. I put a lot of effort into optimizing the site, which significantly improved our Core Web Index score as well as our overall load time.
