Alkyd paints and varnishes

polyurethane.
The material used to paint the base must be moisture-resistant and unaffected by low temperatures, with good adhesion and resistant to the sun's ultraviolet rays. Along with the paint and varnish material, it is necessary to buy the appropriate primer for preliminary treatment of the surface to be painted.

Acrylic paints
They are easy to apply to the surface and dry quickly, creating a durable waterproof layer that holds well. The addition of latex enhances the hydrophobic properties of the material. Acrylic compounds are inexpensive and economical in consumption when painting. They can be used to cover smooth concrete and brick surfaces. They are not recommended for protecting aerated concrete blocks and other highly porous materials.

The film-forming base of alkyd paints are drying oils, oils, resins lithuania mobile database other similar materials. They are capable of providing a very high level of protection against moisture. However, they are susceptible to ultraviolet radiation and therefore require renewal on average every 3 years. It should be noted that they have a wider and brighter color range than acrylic coatings.

Silicone based paints
These are modern paints and varnishes based on emulsified silicone resins. They have high hydrophobicity, while remaining vapor-permeable. They penetrate well into the base and are recommended for coating porous surfaces. The drying film layer of silicone paint does not create surface stress and therefore adheres well to plastered surfaces.

Epoxy paints
They are the most durable and long-lasting. They provide complete sealing of the coating. They consist of an epoxy base, a coloring pigment and a hardener, which is added to the composition just before application to the surface.

Epoxy paint can protect the base not only from precipitation, but also from strong mechanical impacts. The main disadvantage of the material is its high cost.
