Our partner, who implemented SAP SD, wanted to combine disparate purchases for production and management purposes into a single system, simplifying document flow and process control. The existing system did not provide such functionality, and developing a user-friendly interface on SAP was difficult and expensive. It was necessary to find an affordable solution with a low cost of ownership.
INTERVOLGA already had experience integrating SAP with an industrial marketplace in a project with Evraz, so we offered the client a solution that could streamline and automate the process of ordering and purchasing material assets by the company's employees.
The existing procurement system was based turkey mobile database on paperwork and was imperfect:
records were lost and because of this not all ordered items were included in the purchase;
changes were made to the order at the delivery stage;
There were errors and mis-delivery of supplied products due to inaccurate descriptions, etc.
Another reason for integrating MP and SAP was that the budgetary institution needs to conduct contract work and report on purchases, and the internal marketplace greatly helps with this.
