A good 2 1/2 years ago, the beginning of the end of Universal Analytics was heralded: with the release of "Google Analytics 4". Now there is a final date for the end of Universal Analytics : From July 1st, 2023, no more data will be included in the old Analytics. What is the difference between Universal Analytics and GA4? -> Read here in our blog. From July 1st, 2023, no more data will be sent to the old Analytics - the death knell for the "old world".
What does this mean for the current analytics environment and what are the immediate to-dos? We clarify:
1) Act immediately - Parallel Setup GA4
GA4 will be the new analytics standard, at least from iran phone number list Google. This means that you should start collecting data using the new GA4 now. GA4 is still not retrospective - in other words, data is only collected and usable when GA4 is actually integrated. The sooner you integrate the new analytics, the more data will be available to you.
We already integrate a GA4 setup for all customers, parallel to Universal Analytics.
This ensures full data control and sustainability.
2) Convert reports and links to GA4
With the switch to GA4, old reports or links to third-party providers must be converted.
In particular, connectors to dashboard tools such as Datastudio and co. must now be completely adapted.
Since this change is time-consuming, we recommend starting now - at the same time, an early change will help you get used to using the reports.
