advertising agencies have not reached

Post by rifat28dddd »

Consumers are very critical of the quality of products, so trial promotions and tastings are very popular.
— Russian consumers are very patriotic, so "Russian elements" must be present in advertising: nature, literature, quotes and heroes from Russian films, art, etc.
— Also, traditional advertising with children and family is well suited for the conservative consumer in Russia.
— When choosing products, advice from friends and family members plays a large role.
— Russian marketers and the level of quality and development of the methodology of Western agencies, so when entering the Russian market, it is better to use the services of Western specialists with experience in Russia.
— Many are even inclined to this opinion: The most important thing is to set up production and have connections with local authorities. Russian consumers are not particularly demanding anyway and respond to resonant names and bright pictures, so there will be no problems with positioning.

The Russian market is considered very promising. The Western italy cell phone number list European market is very saturated, the growth rate here is very low, the competition is high. Compared to old Europe, Russia is an "untapped field" with great potential. Therefore, many German companies and companies from other Western European countries are trying to enter Russia. But they face big problems: poorly developed infrastructure (especially in the regions), problems with personnel (staff turnover in Russia is very high), corrupt authorities (you have to pay for every piece of paper and have your own people), concentration on Moscow and, in connection with this, inflated prices for offices, etc. Many also underestimate the importance of personal contacts in Russia. Many people think that if there is a good product, then this is the key to success. But the fact that you need to know Uncle Vasya in Auchan to make an appointment with him, or pay for this meeting, is very surprising. Then there are the differences in mentalities that we discussed, etc. And of course, not the last, work with Western agencies, which themselves have little understanding of Russian structures. But here colleagues learn quickly:), since the consulting market is also much more saturated in Europe and many want to get a piece of the pie in Russia.

Do you agree with these statements by Western experts? What rules for entering the Russian market would you correct or supplement?

P.S. regarding the investment of resources, this is also a good question. Many people think that in Russia everything grows on its own and there is no need to invest large amounts of money. While, for example, in Germany millions are invested in personnel, development and advertising, they want to enter Russia cheaper. This is also a favorite mistake.
