Advanced settings for outdated posts

NOTE: The DX Out of Date plugin has not been updated for a while. But in our tests, it still worked on classic and block themes.

Upon activation, you will need to visit the Outdated gansu phone number Settings page to configure the plugin settings.

Here you need to select the time period and duration. After this time, the plugin will consider the post as old.

Afterwards, you can provide a custom message to display on old posts and enable notifications for all old posts. Don't worry, you can hide it by editing certain posts.

On the settings page, you can also select the post type, color of the notification box, and add custom CSS if needed.

Don't forget to click the "Save Changes" button to store your settings.

You can now visit older posts on the site to see the plugin in action.

Hide old post notifications for a single post

Let’s say we have an article that is older, but still accurate, up-to-date, and ranking highly in search. You may want to hide old post notifications.

Likewise, what happens if you update an old publication with new information? The plugin will continue to show notifications for older posts because it uses the post's publication date to determine its age.

To fix this, you can edit the post and scroll to the "Expired Notifications" tab in the block editor's posts panel. From here, just uncheck the notification option and save the changes.

The plugin will now stop showing notifications about old publications for this specific article.
