– Must be configured/programmed to function properly.

Robots.txt
[Tweet “#Google recommends using Robots.txt to better crawl your site”]

To improve Google's crawling , it is recommended that you use the robots.txt file, with which the administrator or owner of the site can indicate what they want the search engine to crawl and what not .

If you include it in the process, you can indicate how you want it to be displayed in the search results. Let's look at an example:

This is how you should tell crawlers not to show certain content in search engines, the name = “robots” attribute is for all crawlers.

If you want to include a specific one, you can simply replace the “robots” value of the “name” attribute with the name of the search engine you want to exclude. In Google’s case, it would look something like this:

Another new feature that Googlebot offers to personalize the process is that it allows you to integrate searches into its own pages.

This is nothing more than adding a search engine to your website so that users can find content related to what they are looking for.

Google tracking is a great contribution to owners, because it has the opportunity to know the user's behavior once these results are linked to Google Adwords, which as you know is another tool to boost positioning.

How Google Search Works

Searches consist of 3 steps:

Tracking.
Indexing.
Publication of results.
The first step to understanding how Google searches work has already been explained above. Now, it's time to explain indexing.

Indexing
Once Googlebot has gone through your website and read and interpreted all your resources, the next step is to save them in its “library”.

Just as you read it, Google indexing can be compared to a huge library that has thousands of books in its warehouse.

From the results of the crawl, Google creates indexes, just as in a library. In which the classification of books can use codes or words that indicate where X information can be found .

In order for your pages to be ready to be indexed, you have to meet a series of requirements, but first try to verify the following points:

Make sure that none of your pages are made with the old version of Flash.
Try to fix those that are made from frames.
Check that they are structured in HTML or DHTML format .
Once you have resolved these issues, you can begin the indexing process .

Seek help from tools like Google Search Console . This tool provides instructions and step-by-step instructions so you can index your pages without problems.

Fun fact: Google is believed to be working on indexing over 130 trillion pages and growing.

In the indexing process, content is processed to understand which of the many (trillions) is the one that Google considers most important and, according to what the Google crawling process determines, the information will be classified to show a result to users.
