What is Make? An overview:

Post by Ehsanuls55 »

Formerly Integromat (it even says so in its logo), Make is Zapier's most established competitor, but it works differently.

They basically said, “Okay, Zapier has integration covered, now to make us stand out we’re going to focus on the experience.”

Make is essentially a no-code platform that lets you build and automate workflows with conditional logic and drag-and-drop blocks. Each block represents an app that you can configure and connect with other apps.

Example

Going back to the example we used for Zapier: When a form is submitted on your website, you'll use the same lead scoring method in your CRM.

Based on your score, if you have less than 50 points (Condition 1), I will send you an vp maintenance email list email saying “Hi! Here is my Calendly link.”

And if they get more than 50 points (Condition 2), I will send an urgent notification to Slack with mention “@sales-team, call them immediately!”.

We can deal with both cases, even if they have different degrees of importance, thanks to this branching system offered by Make.

Another example would be using conditions with Stripe:

Example

Depending on the amount of the Stripe payment and its nature – whether it’s a refund, an additional offer, or a license renewal, etc. – these are all important data points that you can use to trigger different actions.

In Make, you can create different branches:

YES it is important
THEN send me a notification on Slack.
IF NOT, just send me an email that I can read later.
