A requirements engineer is also responsible for structuring the project, for example in the form of epics and features as well as story maps. Domain Driven Design has a lot of potential for gaining an overview of complex and extensive projects and clustering them into manageable units. By engaging with this approach and adapting his tasks in the project to it, a requirements engineer can make a valuable contribution to understanding complex technical relationships and developing a well-thought-out system hand in hand with the architecture.

But how did it come about? A friend recently asked me what I was most passionate about during my biotechnology studies. My answer? He is still waiting for that, because to be honest, I always found scientific research interesting, but it was never my real passion. After my doctorate, I spent a few years working in science communication and marketing. These were also exciting industries, but something was missing and I went looking for new challenges. Then - as with many other adessi - it was a personal recommendation that drew my attention to adesso and thus the IT industry.
