Have you ever imagined what your future will be like? Are you one of those who think that things will get better or worse?

In this documentary, COTEC provides a detailed x-ray of the future of work that awaits us and gives us the key to be prepared for this new reality. Let's address the key points of this documentary:

As we mentioned, there are those who believe that the world will get worse. They think that there will be an ever-increasing gap between developed and underdeveloped countries, that the proportion of humanity without education and health care remains the same, or even grows, and that there are many poor people and only a few rich people.

Optimists, on the other hand, imagine a more equal world and believe that extreme poverty will soon be eradicated, but who is right?

The fourth industrial revolution is already a reality . We live in a world where artificial intelligence, data, the Internet of Things, etc. are becoming increasingly important. Machines are replacing us in many jobs, especially those where repetitive and predictable tasks are performed.

What other changes does this new, completely disruptive era bring with it?
Industrial revolutions have always meant an improvement in the quality of life of men. With them, the famous middle class appeared thanks to the idea of the virtuous circle: production grew thanks to technological advances and a more qualified workforce; salaries rose; consumption increased and companies obtained more benefits; and the circle began again.

Today, the developing middle class is the largest social group, and at this point we might begin to agree with the pessimists. This is the group that is most at risk from the industrial revolution we are immersed in. The machines that helped us perform specialized and repetitive work in previous industrial revolutions are now so good at repetitive and specialized tasks that they no longer need us.

Nor do they need us to process the huge volumes of data that we are constantly generating today with the IoT (Internet of Things). This means that jobs held by the middle class are at risk of becoming extinct and that we could be approaching a totally polarized society : on the one hand, precarious and temporary jobs, such as home delivery workers, and on the other hand, senior managers in charge of making decisions, supervising, creating and designing machines.
How do we prepare for this?

It's easy, being more human than ever
Automation will destroy 75 million jobs, but it will create 133 million jobs that we know nothing about. So how are we going to do it? We don't know what the jobs of the future will be like, but we do panama number dataset that they are becoming increasingly important in the selection process. Every day the demand for candidates with a series of soft-skills that define us as a species, and that will be even more important for companies in the future, increases.

We have the task of enhancing these skills, the demand for which is growing by the moment, and of stopping being “cheap automatons”. What are they?

Create new ideas
Solving unpredictable problems
Understanding emotions
Critical thinking
Complementing each other
At Shakers we are very clear that what matters most to us is that each member of our team is happy. When someone enjoys what they do and can continue to develop and grow, both personally and professionally, they contribute more to the company, the team and the project. These soft skills we are talking about grow and shine more if they are worked on with motivation and if you have the right tools at hand to do it with agility: agile methodology, Agile Shakers , and programs that facilitate the work routine and communication within the team.
