I've been providing support for projects made with WordPress for years and I can say that it's no exaggeration: many people forget or don't even know their website's login details.

There are so many requests for help that, thinking about this, I decided to write this post.

How to login to WordPress dashboard?
To log in (i.e. enter) to your WordPress dashboard, you need the following details:

Login Address: The page you must access to enter the panel;
User: which can be a name or an email address;
Password: which is what usually causes the most headaches.
Therefore, when you install your WordPress (or receive the data), it is important that you bookmark the login address and store (safely) your username and password.

This may seem (and it is) very basic information, but many people leave it for later… and the rest you can already imagine.

What is the address to log into WordPress?
By default, the WordPress login address is always your website address with the /wp-login.php.

Another alternative is /wp-admin, which directly accesses the WordPress dashboard if you are already logged in.

So, it would be:dominiodoseusite.com.br/wp-admin

However, both of these alternatives are temporary. As I mentioned above, WordPress comes with these addresses by default, but they should be changed for security reasons .

This is because such addresses are constant targets of attacks and hacking attempts. So, if you can still see the WordPress login area through /wp-login.php, you should change the address as soon as possible!

But don’t worry: it’s really easy to do. In fact, you just need to install the WPS Hide Login plugin and choose a new address.
