“These issues often arise from poor email management or lack of access to email, with critical project information often being stored solely in email threads,” Emeni said.
Interestingly, construction professionals continue to actively communicate via email, with 88% reporting an increase in the volume of emails in their inboxes in 2023. However, this reliance highlights the importance of using effective email management systems to avoid conflicts. Large companies such as WSP and Ramboll have implemented automated email management systems, saving them valuable time and minimising the risks associated with lost or unavailable information.
