Monitor and resolve technical issues

Why is there such a big debate in the SEO community between subdomains and subdirectories? And is one better than the other when it comes to ranking in SERPs?

Let’s be clear: the structure of your website has a significant impact on your organic search performance.

Choosing between a subdomain or subdirectory for certain areas of your site can make or break your growth. But there are also cases where it makes sense to host part of your site on a subdomain.

Really, it depends. It’s important that you understand the different usage scenarios and how they can impact your site’s organic performance.

This debate comes from the fact that Google treats ukraine telegram number database subdomains as separate entities from your main domain, largely because some sites put different content on subdomains that shouldn't really be associated with the main site. Or in some cases, these subdomains of the main domain are controlled by different people.

So, going back to our example above:

yourdomain.com/blog/ is considered part of yourdomain.com by Google's algorithm
blog.yourdomain.com is not considered part of yourdomain.com, but a separate entity
This means that content (and its valuable assets, like backlinks) hosted on a subdomain is not taken into account by Google's algorithm when ranking the main domain.
