2. Using a PowerShell script
Type PowerShell into the Start menu and click the Run as administrator button under the app card on the right.

Start-Process "regsvr32" -ArgumentList "s D:\dll32\dwmapi.dll" -Verb RunAs

Replace the following with the path to the DLL file:D:\dll32\dwmapi.dll

Click Enterto run the PowerShell script.

3. Using the drag and drop method
Navigate to the location of the regsvr32.exe file in Windows > System32 .

Minimize the window for later use.

Now go to the folder where you saved the DLL file.

Click on the DLL file and drag it onto the regsvr32.exe file .

You should now see a dialog box confirming that the DLL file you selected was loaded successfully.

If your Synaptics touchpad driver scrolling isn't working on your laptop, navigation can be a hassle, but we have fixes that can help resolve the issue.

What to do with Synaptics touchpad driver scrolling if it is not working?
Before you begin, use Fn+ F8or F6to enable the touchpad. The key combination may vary depending on the model. Also, disable other input devices and update Windows.

1. Turn the touchpad hardware off and on again.
Press the Windows+ buttons Ion your keyboard to open the settings interface . From there, select Bluetooth & Devices from the left menu.

Click Touchpad in the main window on the right . Toggle the Touchpad switch to Off to disable it.

To turn the touchpad back on , move the switch to the On position .

2. Enable Synaptics service
Press the Windows+ keys Rtogether to open the Run dialog box . Type services.msc and press Enter.



In the list of services, scroll down and find the Synaptics service or SynTPEnhService . Double-click it to open its properties.

In the Properties window, set the startup type to Automatic by selecting it from the drop-down menu.



Click Start to start the service, then click Apply and OK .

3. Disable PalmCheck
Tap Windows+ Ito open Settings and select Devices .

In the left menu, click Touchpad . Scroll down and select Advanced settings under Related settings . The Mouse Properties window opens .

In the mouse properties, go to the Device Settings or Synaptics tab the name may differ depending on your touchpad.

Tap Settings or Options to open the touchpad settings.

Find PalmCheck or Palm Tracking under Pointing or SmartSense depending on your device.

Move the PalmCheck slider to the Off position cyprus telegram data or disable it by unchecking the box. Click Apply and then OK to save your changes.

Close Mouse Properties and Settings .

When PalmCheck is disabled, the touchpad processes all inputs without filtering out gestures based on proximity or pressure. This ensures that your swipe gestures are always recognized.

PalmCheck will not be available on your laptop unless the original Synpatcis Touchpad driver is installed.

4. Update the Synaptics touchpad driver manually.
Download the required driver from the manufacturer's website and unzip it to your PC.
