How streaming and piracy platforms have grown in recent times.

Pandemic, people at home and streaming services booming. In the last year, streaming of movies, series and music has grown absurdly, with several new platforms launching to compete for a share of this expanding market.

However, digital piracy has also accompanied this growth, causing losses to the already weakened cultural market. While many minimize the problem, imagining that they are only taking a little from millionaire artists, the fact is that the losses affect the entire production chain of the sector, where many professionals, far from the glamour of big stars, feel the brunt of the blow.

It is this scenario that motivated us to tell you a little more about the work of one of our clients, Abramus (Brazilian Association of Music and Arts) and its visual arts arm, AUTVIS .

Abramus is the largest non-profit collective management whatsapp number south africa association of Copyright in Brazil. With over 70,000 associated holders, its main objective is to defend the copyright of artists in the Musical, Dramatic (Theater & Dance) and Visual Arts (through AUTVIS) classes.

Among its duties is managing the correct transfer to artists of the amounts collected by ECAD (Central Office for Collection and Distribution) for the performances of their songs. Of course, among them are famous stars, but the vast majority are musicians and composers who live outside the spotlight and depend heavily on this source of income to support and develop their families and careers.

To help this important work continue, our part involves a mix of actions:

News Curation : Moves networks with relevant topics, seeking engagement and attracting new followers.
Information Campaigns: Answer the main questions about the most technical issues of the legal process, seeking to add value and generate awareness.
Promotion of Series with main artists: Both in video and text, series of interviews and chats, always sprinkled with music, bring news and curiosities about celebrities (attracting and instigating the public's aspirations), in addition to giving space for new artists to showcase their work.
Promotion of Social Campaigns: Since the beginning of the pandemic, Abramus has been supporting professionals in the cultural sector most affected by the interruption of shows and festivals. First with the Humanitarian Artistic Campaign and now with the Solidarity Percentage Campaign (participate and find out everything here ), we were involved in the development of concepts and texts, in addition to the digital media plan.
Multichannel Strategy: It is worth mentioning that all this content, created and/or published by us, is distributed, according to the strategy and desired objectives, in various ways and through different channels: Facebook, Instagram (feed, stories and IGTV), YouTube, Blog and Newsletter.
Applying a very similar strategy on AUTVIS networks, always aiming to raise awareness and engagement through content relevant to the target audience, we have been joining forces for almost 5 years to demystify the problem of piracy and the vital importance of copyright.
