Excursus: Economic considerations – the perfect working time arrangement

I would like to make a brief economic analysis of the results. I would say that about 53% of the work is so-called overhead (work around work). According to these results, there is a maximum potential of 25% for optimization. The optimal utilization of work would therefore be:
28% work around work (2.25 hours per day)
13% strategic work (1h per day)
59% skilled work (4.75 hours per day)
To do this, I deducted 25% from the work around the work. That leaves 28%. After that, I think that 1 hour of strategic work is enough and came up with this optimal distribution. I think that 1/3 is always work around construction email list work. But it still doesn't work without coordination. You can also see this in my picture above.
Reason 2: Distractions during work: notifications and exhaustion
The study also examined how uninterrupted our work is and how rested we approach it. According to the study, we use numerous apps and often they don't work well or generate a lot of messages and notifications that overwhelm us.
The study says: Specialists feel overwhelmed digitally. Above all due to unclear processes, which lead to back and forth between employees and "work for work". This is reflected in the following feelings:
Feeling: less efficiency of 19%
Specification: more overtime of 15%
Feeling: less attention by 13%
My experience is that we need to focus more on adapting tools to employees and protecting ourselves against technostress. Working from home all the time in particular means we are quite isolated and exposed to technology. It makes sense to use hybrid models between home and office.
Conclusion and Recommendations
The topic of what the world of work will look like after Corona is a big and complex topic. I also wrote my new book on the hybrid world of work on this topic . Especially during Corona, companies have become more complex and have moved into digitalization at high speed . But in companies, the number of employees is increasing but productivity is somehow decreasing. The Asana study says it very clearly: " This indicates that growth and increasing responsibility are also leading to an increase in tasks that require a lot of resources but have little effect. " This is probably because there is a lot of overhead and specialists cannot work fully in a value-added manner. So a lot of optimization of processes is currently necessary.
