Digital advertising and sustainability are an increasingly powerful (and omnipresent) duo. The digital advertising industry seems determined to turn green and help the suffocating planet Earth breathe. In recent months, multiple initiatives focused on carbon neutrality in the field of digital advertising have emerged. And the latest of these is the work of the German company specializing in digital advertising in video format, ShowHeroes Group , which has just presented "Green Media", a new option for booking advertising space that allows agencies and advertisers to implement 100% carbon-neutral digital campaigns.
Through “Green Media”, ShowHeroes Group’s advertising partners will have the opportunity to develop, with the support of the group’s network of premium publishers, digital campaigns with zero carbon emissions . Both agencies and egypt number data advertisers will be able to place their campaigns on certified carbon-neutral media where all emissions have been adequately measured and offset.
This new initiative has been made possible through ShowHeroes Group's alliance with Scope3 , a company that measures emissions throughout the supply chain and also manages the purchase of contributions focused on decarbonising emissions through Carbon Direct.
“ Very few people consider how damaging the hidden CO2 emissions of digital advertising are. However, it is abundantly clear how large the carbon footprint of digital media campaigns is,” explains Tanya Priyank, Director of International Growth at ShowHeroes Group.
“ In Scope3 we have found an excellent partner for measuring carbon emissions and identifying and certifying carbon-neutral media . Thanks to Scope3 we give agencies and advertisers the possibility of implementing digital campaigns that are completely environmentally friendly,” underlines Priyank. The aim, says the executive of ShowHeroes Group, is to actively promote change in the digital advertising industry towards a 100% carbon-neutral future.
To offset the carbon emissions generated by digital campaigns, nature-focused projects are funded to free the atmosphere of CO2 emanating from digital advertising , as well as programs that promote biodiversity and initiatives dedicated to reforestation and the protection of natural ecosystems.
