What was your first contact with Data Science?

Post by shukla9966 »

A few years ago, my work process involved analyzing social media results for clients, as well as creating periodic reports. I was looking for a way to both speed up the process and gain more insights. The process can be mechanical, but it should bring ideas to the surface.

So, I started playing with the Tableau tool, and with its use came the need to seek more and more knowledge in the area.

What was your trajectory until the moment you french email address list to specialize in this area?

I started my career in the area of social networks, their administration and results analysis, which made me see that the potential lay in replicating successful strategies and testing new models.

Creating and presenting reports was where I demonstrated the potential of a whole period of work and so I decided to specialize in them.

Why did you choose Harve?

Harve aims to teach students from beginners to more advanced students, combining different areas of expertise. The same networking experience found in an MBA is also experienced at Harve, since we have a group of people from different sectors.

Another factor is the schedule and duration of the course. The market is agile, and we need to be too to acquire knowledge.

How is your experience with Data Science?

Data Science can be applied to any field. Today I moved from social media to managing an online store, and with this change I needed to change the metrics and KPIs, but the way of creating studies continues to have the same basis.

What are your expectations for the Data Science market from now on?

The perception of a Data Science professional will be as fundamental a differentiator in companies as having a simple Excel course on your resume. There is no point in knowing the tools if you do not know how to take advantage of them.

In which areas that use Data Science do you most identify/work?

I like to identify consumer behavior. I find it incredible how consumption changes between seasons, from state to state and age groups. I imagine the persona of my customers when I do my analysis.

I work at a brewery, and our sales are nationwide. There are cities where consumers prefer fuller-bodied beers, while others prefer lighter ones. There are cities where shipping costs completely change the average ticket price and other perceptions.

What have been your results so far in this area that you most identify with?

I don't just work with Data Science. As a manager, it has become a fundamental part of my decision-making; it's the difference between knowing what to do or guessing the answer.
