Once activated, the plugin will add a new menu item called Wordfence to your WordPress admin bar. Clicking on it will take you to the plugin settings dashboard.
Wordfence settings dashboard
This page shows an overview of the plugin's security settings for your website. You will also see security notifications and statistics such as recently blocked IPs, failed login attempts, total blocked attacks, etc.
Wordfence settings are divided into different sections. The default settings are suitable for most websites, but you still need to check them and change them if necessary.
Let's do a scan first.
The scan looks for changes in file sizes in the official list of singapore cell phone number WordPress core and plugin files.
It also scans the files for suspicious code, backdoors, malicious URLs and known infection patterns.
Typically, these scans require a lot of server resources to run. Wordfence does a great job of running the scans as efficiently as possible. The time it takes to complete a scan depends on how much data you have and what server resources are available.
You can see the progress of the scan in the yellow boxes on the scan page. Most of this information is technical in nature, but you don't need to worry about the technical stuff.
Wordfence will now start scanning your WordPress files
