WordPress will automatically attempt to install the parent theme if it is available in the WordPress.org theme directory. If the parent theme installation fails, you will not be able to activate the child theme. Your child theme will then appear as broken on the Themes page.
Broken child theme
To install your parent theme, first go to the parent theme's website and download the theme's zip file.
Click on the “Upload Theme” button and you will see the option to upload the theme.
Click the “Choose File” button to select the list of mexico cell phone number theme zip file from your computer and then click the “Install Now” button.

After you have installed both the parent and child theme, you can activate the child theme.
Note : Note that you do not need to activate the parent theme to use the child theme.
